Evergreen Casting reel Evergreen Oceanus Wide HD

The casting reel Oceanus Wide HD is a reel for Jigging fishing from the brand Evergreen. For sea fishing, the equipment must be resistant and of very good quality. This is the case with the Oceanus Wide HD. Designed by Norihiro Sato, this casting reel jigging is an exceptional object made in Japan. It is made from machined stainless steel parts in a monoblock frame.

Robust and comfortable to use, it has 9 oblique contact stainless steel ball bearings designed to withstand significant stresses. Its 7.2:1 ratio generates a recovery of 100cm per crank turn. In addition, its exceptional capacity allows the storage of:

• 1200m of PE 1
• 1000m of PE 1.2
• 800m of PE 1.5

This large capacity allows fishing at extreme depths and keeping a good distance of line body in reserve in case a large fish would be lured.

Unlike many casting reels for sea fishing, the Oceanus Wide HD is equipped with a wire guide that solves the problem of irregular winding of the line when the current is strong.

It has a very progressive "casting" brake anti-foaming that ensures optimal control of the jig's descent speed and a combat brake of 6 kg with micrometric adjustment. The OCEANUS is a pleasant reel to use thanks to the adjustable crank length, the adjustment of the reel position to adapt it to the size of the hand, lure hook and also a clever wire lock that prevents the braid from unwinding when the line is not mounted.
