The Ultegra XTE Spod spinning reel is a spod reel from the brand Shimano. This reel is the perfect combination of price and performance. The Ultegra XTE Spod has a high retrieve speed, a shallow spool, 3 line clips and an ergonomic handle for added comfort.
This reel is designed to meet the demands of spodding. As such, this reel has been developed to cast far effortlessly. This reel is based on the Ultegra XTE 14000.
You'll benefit from the performance, credibility and reputation this reel has earned from carp anglers. It's a robust, solid reel with a fast retrieve (124 cm per crank revolution). The Ultegra Spod is ideal for spoding and has several line clips for hooking up at different distances.
The Ultegra XTE Spod features a lightweight, rigid CI4+ body and a selection of advanced technologies from Shimano. It combines HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Infinity Drive and Silent Drive to offer amazing smoothness and light rotation.
The Super Slow 5 oscillation generates a surprisingly fluid line lay which reduces friction and increases casting potential. The Rigid Cast reduces spool deflection on release when casting and the Parallel Body sends the line at the perfect angle to the first ring.
And as the line passes over the lip of the aluminium AR-C spool, it wraps around to reduce friction. The result is a smooth line delivery never seen before at such an affordable price. Its casting performance is incredible.
