The surfcasting rod Ultegra XR Surf is a highly technical rod designed specifically for very long-distance surfcasting. This rod Shimano combines some of the brand's most advanced carbon technologies with carefully designed profiles and top-quality components. This rod maximises distance performance for anglers with very sophisticated casting techniques.

The Ultegra XR Surf is a must-have option for fans of powerful casts! These rods are constructed from the most technologically advanced carbon webs. They feature an extra-fast action that greatly increases the distance you can reach. Available in a Lowrider version with Fuji Lowrider Alconite guides and Fuji DPS reel seat, all the rods feature the Shimano Cast Control Grip for easy second-hand casting.

The extreme long-range casting performance of the Ultegra XR Surf is generated by the combination of a selection of advanced SHIMANO carbon technologies. The high modulus Full Carbon blank also contains the exclusive Spiral X and Hi-Power X technologies which significantly reduce blank twisting under tension and increase tip speed when casting.
