Vivarelli

For decades, the name Vivarelli has been synonymous with ingenuity and performance in the world of fly fishing. Born from the genius of engineer Franco Vivarelli, the famous Standard FV102 model revolutionized the practice by offering a unique line management system, combining lightness, speed and reliability. More than just a tool, it is a piece of history that still equips the most demanding enthusiasts today.

The Vivarelli signature resides in its semi-automatic mechanism. Unlike manual reels, the recovery of the line is done via a trigger (lever) actuated by the fingers. Thanks to a perfectly studied internal gear ratio, each press allows to swallow a large amount of line in a fraction of a second.

  • The advantage: You reel in your banner instantly after a drift or during a fight, without ever letting go of the rod handle.

If the Vivarelli was born for traditional fishing, it is experiencing a second youth with the rise of modern nymph fishing (Euro-nymphing, Spanish/French fishing).
Its closed build is a major technical asset: it prevents ultra-thin lines (0.55mm) or long nylon leaders from getting stuck in the mechanism. Combined with its lightness, it perfectly balances long nymph rods for total fishing comfort.

The emblematic model is made of carbon fiber. This choice of material, avant-garde at the time of its creation, gives the reel remarkable strength and featherweight, while giving it this sober and elegant black aesthetic that stands the test of time without a wrinkle. Although the range has expanded with aluminum versions, the "Standard Carbon" remains the unbeatable reference.

  • The Original: Often copied, never equaled in terms of reliability.
  • Speed: Ultra-fast line management thanks to the lever.
  • Lightness: Carbon construction to avoid tiring the arm.
  • Versatility: Ideal for dry flies, but especially perfect for nymph fishing.
