The new Ultegra Ci4+ 5500 is the little brother of the 14000, launched at the end of 2017. Compared to the previous version, it has improved in many respects. This reel is the top of the range in the large reel category in size 5500 from Shimano.
The differences with the Ultegra XTD 5500 are significant: this reel is better protected against water and dust infiltration. It is also lighter, equipped with a faster brake and benefits from reinforced gears (Hagane), better ball bearings and new parts (rotor, spool, line guard).
This makes it a very versatile Carp reel for keen anglers who want a reliable reel that will guarantee many years of trouble-free fishing.
