This 3-piece casting rod has been specially designed for fishermen looking for optimal casting performance with heavy leads, while maintaining progressive action that can control fights with the biggest fish.

The Saikou W-Power adopts a three-piece construction that offers an ideal compromise between casting power and ease of transport. This architecture allows you to store the rod in a compact sleeve while maintaining a uniform action over the entire length of the blank.

Two lengths available:

• 4.50 m (15') model: Compact version weighing 662 grams, perfect for beaches with limited space or for fishermen who favor maneuverability
• 5.00 m (16'4") model: Long version weighing 736 grams, delivered with a connectable 50 cm extension to reach 5.50 m (18') to maximize casting distance and pass coastal currents

This versatility in length is a major asset: use the rod in 5 m configuration for standard conditions, then add the extension to gain distance during high tides or to prospect beyond the first bar.

The blank of the Saikou W-Power is made of high-performance S-HMC carbon (Super High Modulus Carbon), guaranteeing:

Tubular tip with power action: The tubular tip of the Saikou W-Power is designed to maximize casting power. Unlike softer solid tips, the tubular tip offers:

• Increased rigidity: Better transmission of energy from the blank to the rig
• Power reserve: Ability to propel heavy rigs (100-350 grams) at a very long distance
• Tactile sensitivity: Precise detection of touches even with leads of 150-180 grams

This Power Tip configuration is ideal for fishing in pure power, favoring distance and the ability to work with large baits and heavy leads.

The Saikou W-Power displays HH power (Extra Heavy) with an optimal casting range between 100 and 180 grams, and a maximum capacity of up to 350 grams. This feature makes it a specialized rod for prospecting beyond 100-150 meters with leads of 150-180g. You will thus be able to fish strong currents with large baits.

Fuji KW Rings: The Fuji KW (K-series) rings equipping the Saikou W-Power benefit from an anti-corrosion treatment for intensive sea use. They allow smooth casting by reducing line friction during casting.

You will also benefit from a Fuji DPS (Durable Performance System) reel seat for perfect attachment of the reel without risk of loosening during casting.

Pair the Saikou W-Power with a long-cast 8000-14000 reel with a minimum braid capacity of 250-300 meters in 30-40 lbs.

Fill it with braid: 28-35 lbs (0.20-0.25 mm) to maximize casting distance and opt for a 60-80 lbs nylon shock leader (0.60-0.80 mm) on 12-15 meters to absorb the shock of the cast.
