This small swimming fish of 7.9cm in length offers a swim which displaces a lot of water, characteristic thanks to its "flat" silhouette which generates a high rolling angle and intense shimmering. Its internal balance and its ballasting allow for a stability in slow retrieval and an immediate response when you animate it, producing marked flashes with each rod stroke. When retrieved linearly "cranking", it develops a tight trajectory ideal for triggering reflex attacks; when twitch-pause, it perfectly mimics a small injured fish and stays suspended in the water layer to provoke predators.

Depth and animation: optimized to run at 1 and 2 m depth depending on the retrieval angle and the casting distance, the Flat DD Squirrel is perfectly used for spinning or casting: short and sharp animations (twitch), marked pauses, and linear pulls. Its flat body allows for instantaneous changes of direction, which is useful along cluttered edges or near weeds.

Expert advice: use it in spring and summer along the edges, around structures, and in calm arms of a current. Target primarily pike, perch, zander and opportunist black-bass, but also sea bass and exotic fishes like barramundi for which it was designed. In clear water, favor natural colors and fine animations; in cloudy water, choose contrasting colors and make more pauses to maximize attacks.
