The Westin W8 Rockshore Apex Predator 2ND is for fishermen who want to take full advantage of fishing from the shore with a rod that is both responsive, accurate and remarkably light. Designed for modern sea shore fishing, it offers that rare blend of comfort and mastery that is sought when sessions are chaining and every vibration counts.

Its blank combines a high percentage of Toray T1100GC carbon, complemented by T800 and M40JB carbons, to deliver optimal sensitivity and very direct transmission of the slightest touches and lure animations. On the field, this translates into a fine reading of the contact with water, bottom and attacks, while preserving a real reserve of power to withstand extreme constraints during the fight.

The ultra-light design brings immediate comfort during long shore fishing sessions: you get less tired, you animate more cleanly, and you keep precision longer. Its asymmetric construction, with all rings positioned on a single strand, contributes to the overall performance and durability of the rod, with an organization designed for reliability in salty conditions.

Equipped with a Fuji® DPS reel, Fuji® Sic Gunsmoke stainless steel anti-tangle rings, a high-end EVA coating compact and non-slip, resistant to UV and salt water, as well as a Fuji® BRC rubber cap, this Westin spinning rod relies on premium components made to last. The stainless steel anti-tangle lure grip and the unique serial number on each rod further enhance the level of finish.
