Westin Casting rod Westin W8 Slow Jigging

For slow jigging enthusiasts, the casting Rod Westin W8 Slow Jigging is a reliable partner when you need to feel the slightest bite and control a powerful fish over a prolonged fight. Designed for long-fall jerk and half-pitch techniques, it combines an exceptionally refined blank with a real focus on feel on the water.

The heart of this rod is built around Toray Torayca T1100GC, T800 and M40JB carbon fibres. This combination delivers a much sought-after balance of strength, sensitivity and flexibility. The result is a rod that feels light in the hand and responds as the jig sinks, yet is strong enough to withstand hard-fighting fish. When working the jig slowly and precisely, you get clear feedback, ideal for detecting subtle bites that often make all the difference in slow vertical fishing.

Fishing comfort is enhanced by a high-quality split EVA handle that is compact, non-slip and resistant to UV rays and salt water. The Fuji T-DPS reel seat holds the casting reel securely, while the tangle-resistant stainless-steel Fuji Sic Gunsmoke guides allow the line to run smoothly and help prevent snags when casting and striking. The subtle guide wraps complete the neat finish, designed to last in a marine environment.

On the water, this rod is a natural choice for targeting powerful fish in deep water, such as snapper around the rocky areas of the Mediterranean or a large sea bass in the strong currents of the Atlantic. It offers the power reserve needed to control a hard-fighting fish while retaining the finesse required to work the jig. Supplied with a recyclable cardboard triangular box, a neoprene rod sleeve and a unique serial number on each rod, it is clearly aimed at demanding anglers who want reliable, precise and well-designed tackle down to the smallest detail.
