Airflo

Made in Wales, the Airflo brand has always been a true pioneer in the world of fly fishing. While the vast majority of manufacturers use PVC to design their lines, Airflo has made a radical and innovative choice for decades: Polyurethane (PU). This technological choice offers fly fishers lines with superior performance, endowed with an exceptional lifespan.

Why choose a Polyurethane fly line? Traditional PVC contains plasticisers that evaporate over time, with sun exposure and wear, inevitably causing cracks in the line.

  • Zero cracking: Airflo's PU is inert. It doesn't lose its chemical properties, ensuring a line that remains smooth and supple year after year.
  • Chemical resistance: Unlike PVC, PU perfectly resists UV, sunscreen and especially DEET (the active compound in mosquito repellents) which usually melts conventional lines.
  • Eco-friendly: The absence of PVC and toxic solvents makes Airflo fly lines a much more environment-friendly choice for our rivers.

Airflo incorporates advanced technologies to maximise your performance by the water:

  • Super Dri: An exclusive coating that repels water and dirt. Result: a line that floats higher, longer, and is lifted from the water with astonishing ease.
  • Power Core: The core (the heart) of the line has almost zero elasticity (low stretch). You feel the slightest touch and your hooking is instantaneous, even at very long distances.

Airflo doesn't stop with fly lines. The brand is famous for inventing the Polyleader, a shaped line extension that is added between the fly line and the leader. Floating, intermediate or very sinking, they allow you to instantly adjust your setup to the depth of the fish without having to change reels.

  • Unbeatable lifespan: The Polyurethane coating never cracks.
  • Ecology: 100% PVC-free manufacturing.
  • Direct hooking: Very low stretch Power Core technology.
  • European craftsmanship: Products designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
