The brand Illex has come up with a soft bait that makes a lot of sense and yet is rare among its competitors. This Magic Larva imitation bears a striking resemblance to the natural prey that trout and chub love.

Simply attach it to a small single hook and use its multiple appendages to glide through the current. You can use them in reservoirs as well as on rivers by placing your lure in the current to bring them to life. All you need is a little marker on your line and a few sinkers and you'll think you're fishing with a jig.

You can also use it on a micro jig head and try to gently scrape the bottom, or even make it slide. This lure is impregnated to the core with Nitro Booster Calamari attractant.
