The history of Spro

Spro is an integral part of the company Gamakatsu. The brand was created in 1994 when the directors of Gamakatsu realised that it was necessary to develop a truly European entity in order to make the brand more widely believed. The rapprochement of the various countries within the European Union led the group to set up in Holland and gradually flood the market with their high-quality hooks and other accessories. As demand grew and markets opened up around the world, the brand continued to expand, gradually gaining Gamakatsu on both sides of the Atlantic Spro on both sides. The wealth of input from the various people involved in the brand has enabled it to develop highly effective products, the quality of which no-one disputes today.

Backed by their reputation and expertise, Spro offers ever more modern products at the cutting edge of innovation. Whether for carp, sea or predator fish, specific developments are made to offer anglers ever more personalised products that can be truly adapted to an angler's life. Although the brand is struggling to make a name for itself in France due to a distribution problem, the products are nonetheless top quality and already familiar to many insiders. Swimbaits such as the BBZ, an ultra-effective swimbait, and the Iris series, with its imposing eye signal, bear witness to the brand's expertise.
