When a trophy fish bites, the sealed one-piece stainless steel instant anti-reverse kicks in unfailingly to ensure solid hooksets. The battle is then played out on the sealed Carbon Matrix drag system: three carbon washers on the 5000 model, five washers on the 6000, 8000, and 10000 models, for a braking power of up to 30 lb. The pressure remains smooth and reliable from the first rush to the final moments of the battle, even in rain or spray.
The 6000, 8000, and 10000 models feature a CNC machined hard brass main gear, designed to stand up to very large fish, while the 5000 model keeps a CNC machined aluminum gear, lighter and suitable for less extreme battles.
All sizes feature a forged aluminum spool, ready for braid, with double anodization for superior corrosion resistance and perfect line winding. The foldable machined aluminum handle offers excellent leverage, complemented by a comfortable and non-slip TPE knob to maintain control even with wet hands.
