For technical vertical sessions, the Illex Night Shadows B 200 H-XH Vertical Raid stands out as a Casting rod designed for modern pelagic fishing and sharp shooting techniques. From the very first casts, you can feel its remarkable precision and genuine control over the lure’s trajectory—a decisive advantage when you need to present it cleanly in open water.
This model was specifically developed for modern pike and zander fishing, with a perfectly tuned fast action. The new-generation high-modulus blank delivers an exceptionally well-balanced combination of lightness, sensitivity and responsiveness, making it easier to read fish finder returns and detect the most subtle bites, even at great depth. Whether fishing vertically or with a controlled straight retrieve, the rod responds accurately and provides precise control when working the modern soft lures used for active fishing.
When fishing, the power reserve makes all the difference when putting pressure on a large, hard-fighting fish. It offers a crisp, direct and comfortable feel in the hand, with the responsiveness sought by technical anglers who want to stay in constant contact with their rig. The integration of Japanese FUJI components further enhances the overall design: the FUJI Alconite 'K' guides effectively reduce the risk of line tangles around the guides during casting, while the ACS reel seat provides a secure and comfortable grip. This rod is particularly well suited to anglers looking for a premium solution for targeting predatory fish in open water, with precise lure action and complete control over presentation.
Supplied with a printed rod sleeve, the Vertical Raid ticks all the essential boxes for demanding pelagic sessions and active fishing, where responsiveness makes all the difference.
