Description
The Tenryu Power Master Extreme PMX 872 S-XXX is designed for anglers targeting trophy fish from the shore, with the precision and authority this type of pursuit demands. Built for hard-fought battles, it inspires confidence from the outset when you need to cast long, work a bulky lure and withstand the pressure of powerful opponents.
Its high-strength carbon blank provides the reserve needed to handle sudden bursts of speed and maintain control during the most intense moments. The regular-fast action offers a particularly appealing balance: fast enough for accurate casting and precise lure control, yet progressive enough to cushion powerful runs without restricting the fight. In hand, this translates into a feeling of controlled power, ideal for working large stickbaits and poppers from the shore, as well as jigs from a boat.
This rod really comes into its own when conditions call for targeting highly combative fish from the shore, particularly GT trevally, tuna and other exotic species. It is designed for sessions where every cast counts and your tackle needs to remain stable, responsive and robust from start to finish. At the water’s edge, it provides that extra reassurance, allowing you to focus on presenting the lure and controlling the fish.
