The Illex Pepper X5 S 2402 ML-M Stripes Lover is for anglers looking to fish with greater finesse without losing control. Designed for targeting big perch, this premium spinning rod takes an iconic model to the next level, with even greater responsiveness and precision.
Its high-modulus X5 blank delivers remarkable resonance, feels genuinely lightweight in the hand and offers controlled power when playing a fish. The ultra-sensitive solid tip transmits even the most subtle bites with precision, making all the difference when fishing finesse techniques where every contact needs to be felt immediately. For slow, precise retrieves, it gives you clear, crisp and reassuring feedback.
With its FUJI TORZITE TITANIUM K guides, the line flows smoothly to help you make long, clean casts while maintaining excellent line control. The ergonomic VSS reel seat provides a comfortable, natural grip, even during long sessions. At 240 cm, the rod offers an ideal balance of casting distance and line control, whether fishing from the bank or from a boat.
This Illex spinning rod is particularly well suited to modern finesse techniques such as linear retrieves, drop shot and the light Carolina rig. It is also perfect for working small, technical hard baits such as the CHUBBY and DERACOUP. With these setups, the sensitive tip and resonant blank help you stay in contact with the lure, read the bottom and strike at the right moment.
When targeting perch, this rod really comes into its own when the fish are wary and a light rig needs to be presented precisely. It is also well suited to zander fishing when you need a controlled retrieve and precise bite detection. From the bank or from a boat, the STRIPES LOVER combines delicacy, precision and control to make all the difference during technical sessions.
