Illex Spinning Rod Illex Pepper X5 S 2304 L-ML Finesse Road T

The spinning rod Illex Pepper X5 S 2304 L-ML Finesse Road T is ideal for anglers who want to travel light without compromising on feel. Designed for travel and impromptu sessions, it’s just as suited to a hike or road trip as it is to a fishing trip by a river, lake or canal.

Its high-modulus X5 blank with multi-directional fibres offers an excellent balance of lightness, sensitivity and comfort. You can immediately feel the quality of its construction: the rod transmits every bite with precision and retains plenty of power to control the hardest fights. Its fast action, combined with an ultra-sensitive solid tip, is a real asset for the finest presentations, where the slightest movement on the line can make all the difference. When working the lure, this sensitivity gives you a clear reading of the bottom and subtle bites, while retaining the responsiveness needed for clean hook sets.

The FUJI TORZITE TITANIUM K-R guides optimise line flow, reduce friction and improve casting accuracy. The open-frame TVST reel seat also contributes to performance, improving overall sensitivity and the smooth feel of the setup. This is a rod designed for modern finesse fishing, with meticulous attention to detail for anglers who like to feel the lure working through the blank.

By the water, it really comes into its own for technical drop shot, micro jig, light linear presentations and technical soft lures, as well as small minnows, crankbaits and spinners. It’s particularly well suited to targeting perch, trout, chub, zander and black bass, with the rare ability to stay precise, responsive and comfortable during long sessions. Compact when folded, it’s an obvious choice for anglers who want to fish effectively anywhere, without transport hassles.

Supplied with a screen-printed cover and a rigid Cordura tube, it’s designed for worry-free travel and to protect your gear between sessions.
