Illex Casting Rod Illex Pepper X5 B 2204 M-MH Silver Ops

For adventurous anglers who want to maintain high performance wherever they fish, the Pepper X5 B 2204 M-MH Silver Ops ticks all the boxes for a premium Casting rod travel rod. Designed for fishing trips and adventures on the move, it retains the DNA of the renowned Silver Ops in a compact, easy-to-carry 4-piece version that is incredibly practical when every journey counts.

Its high-modulus X5 blank with multi-directional fibres delivers what you really want by the water: remarkable lightness, excellent sensitivity and genuine control when working lures and playing fish. At 220 cm long and with its special action, this rod offers a highly refined balance of power, sensitivity and precision. You can tell straight away that it was designed for modern fishing, where you need to cast cleanly, feel the take and keep the lure on track without forcing it.

The Fuji Torzite Titanium K guides further improve line flow and casting accuracy. With a well-balanced setup, the line runs smoothly and consistently, helping you make the most of the rod with jerkbaits, topwaters, spinnerbaits, blade jigs and technical soft lures. This is exactly the kind of rod you want close at hand when the water calls for a range of approaches and precise control over both lure placement and presentation.

A true rod for searching out fish, it performs just as well from the bank as from a boat. It is an ideal companion for anglers looking for a serious option to cover water, make a succession of accurate casts and stay mobile without sacrificing comfort. BONNIE, RERANGE, MAGSQUAD, CRUSHER and NITRO SHAD all pair well with this rod for modern, dynamic and consistent presentations.

For versatile fishing on the move, this rod baitcasting really comes into its own when searching likely spots, working active margins and fishing areas where you switch between hard baits and technical lures. It will appeal to anglers who want to travel light without sacrificing the precision or responsiveness of a genuine searching rod.
