You're probably familiar with this Shimano will be familiar to you. The Expride 2022 has been in the brand's catalogue for many years, with upgrades every 3 to 5 years to take advantage of the latest technology.

The last evolution of this model dates back to 2017, so it was only natural that in 2022 it should benefit from an upgrade. As Shimano puts it so well, this series is all about sensitivity and responsiveness. It's a playful rod that you love to have in your hands when you're fishing.

The Casting series is not limited to a simple medium or medium heavy version. The range includes baitfiness models as well as more powerful models for pike and bass fishing.

For maximum quality, the brand has opted for a top-of-the-range blank with Hi-Power technology, combined with a carbon monocoque handle. The latter enhances the sensations and vibrations you need to understand the bottom and the action of the lure you're using.

You'll also be able to count on the combination of Fuji Sic rings and a CI4+ reel seat to keep the weight down. The brand has succeeded in pushing this series a little further, and it's gradually coming closer to everything you'd expect from a top-of-the-range rod.

Superfast delivery. The rod was carefully packed in a length of a drain pipe. The rod itself is a beauty. I have installed Shimano Calcutta Conquest DC 100 on the rod. The combination is fantastic for light tackle fishing.
