Description

The rod Offshore Stick GTK 80 SJX is a spinning rod from the brand Smith dedicated to tuna fishing. Like all rods in the Offshore Stick range, the GTK 80 SJX is made from a new composite material. Its blank combines 30 and 40T carbon, kevlar and titanium. This combination allows to increase the resistance by about 25% compared to a classic 30-40T carbon. In addition, it refines the diameter of the blank by about 9%.

Tuna fishing is a sport fishing, it requires light equipment to maintain maximum comfort and last the fishing day. This new manufacturing method allows to lighten the blank and obtain an incredible elasticity that favors long and powerful casts.

The rod Offshore Stick GTK 80 SJX is adorned with a "diamond" wrapping and is mounted on double ligature with Fuji SIC Ocean rings.

It will be efficient when casting on lures from 35g up to 130g, and accepts a braid of PE 5 maximum. In addition, the curvature of its blank during the fight is studied knowing the defense mode of tunas.

It clearly displays its objective, fishing for tunas over 40 kg.
