The new Shimano SLX casting rods were originally developed for black bass fishing. In Europe, they will also be ideal for other predators such as pike, zander and perch. In fact, SLX casting rods have proven to be highly effective in a wide range of lure fishing techniques.

SLX casting rods have a modern look that matches perfectly with SLX casting reels. The result is the perfect combination of technical and aesthetic features for catching your favourite fish. The excellent value for money offered by Shimano will suit a variety of fishing techniques.

These rods are extremely versatile, allowing you to use both soft lures and hard bait. You'll also have a choice of 6 models in different lengths and power ranges to best suit your needs.

The SLX rods from Shimano are constructed from a carbon blank. This gives them an improved action thanks to the Diaflash construction. This construction provides greater resistance to big fish.

SLX casting rods are fitted with Shimano Hardlite guides, which are light, strong and perfectly suited to monofilament and braid. You'll also get an ergonomic, customised VSS-style reel seat that blends in perfectly with the SLX rods' blank,
