Designed for fly fishermen in search of perfection, it combines formidable casting power with surgical precision, all in an absolutely elegant matte black finish for a discreet approach on the water's edge.
The Orvis engineers have performed a real feat. The blank of this Helios D offers a resistance to deformation superior by 25% compared to the famous Helios 3F. The result in fishing action is bluffing: the oscillation of the rod is drastically reduced, making your casts four times more precise than the previous generation. You will place your fly exactly where you decided, even at a long distance or in the wind.
With a weight gain of 10% compared to the Helios 3F, fatigue during long fishing sessions is a thing of the past. Its fast action generates a very high line speed, ideal for tightening loops, penetrating the wind and propelling large flies without forcing.
