Illex Casting Rod Illex Pepper X5 B 210 L+ Finesse Whisp

The ideal choice for finesse fishing where every bite counts, the Pepper X5 B 210 L XS Finesse Whisp – Limited Edition is designed for anglers looking for a premium, precise and exceptionally sensitive Casting rod finesse. From the very first casts, it feels perfectly controlled in the hand: the blank works just right, with no heaviness, giving you complete control over lure presentation and reading the bottom.

Ultra-light, fast and boasting exceptional resonance, this rod has been designed to maximise bite detection when targeting black bass and perch with soft lures using technical methods. It excels with techniques such as weightless, micro jig, drop-shot, neko rig, split-shot and light Texas, where finesse presentation makes all the difference.

Its crisp, perfectly controlled XS action delivers remarkable precision for effectively fishing around cover. The responsive tip lets you work lures cleanly, strike decisively and maintain control, while the surprising power reserve helps you extract the biggest fish from the thickest cover. This is exactly the kind of rod that inspires confidence when fishing gets technical and the fight comes down to the details.

Versatile, the Finesse Whisp is also highly capable with small- and medium-sized hard lures: topwater, minnows, crankbaits and light spinnerbaits. Its premium XS blank, made with multi-directional carbon fibres, offers genuine gains in weight, sensitivity and power, providing exceptional comfort during long sessions. The Fuji Torzite Titanium K guides optimise feedback, casting distance and line flow—a real advantage for maintaining a clean, effective presentation in all conditions.

Among dense cover, along the margins, at marked spots or in areas where black bass and perch call for a surgical approach, this rod really comes into its own. It lets you fish finesse presentations, feel the slightest pressure instantly and perform effectively with both slow retrieves and livelier presentations using small lures. A genuine benchmark for discerning anglers seeking precision and feel.
