The Illex Pepper X5 S 2602 MH Silver Ops is designed for anglers who want to fish at long range from the bank, with the precision and control demanded by a true high-performance rod for covering water. At 260 cm, it offers a clear advantage when reaching distant areas, while retaining excellent feel for the lure and bites, even when conditions call for long-distance fishing.
Its exclusive action combines ultra-fast responsiveness across most of the blank with a more progressive tip. On the water, this makes all the difference: retrieves remain precise, lure feedback is immediate and playing fish feels more comfortable and secure. The X5 high-modulus blank enhances this responsive, sensitive feel, transmitting every movement, subtle bite and renewed contact with the fish to the angler.
This rod is designed for a wide range of rigs and techniques, including topwaters, jerkbaits, minnows, vibrating blades, casting jigs and technical soft lures such as MAGIC SLIM SHAD, NITRO SHAD and NITRO SLIM SHAD. This versatility makes it a formidable ally for exploring different spots without compromising on precision or effectiveness.
On the bank, the Silver Ops really comes into its own for shore fishing, in both saltwater and freshwater, when you need to cover a wide area while maintaining perfect control of the line. It is a natural choice for targeting sea bass, asp, freshwater predators and sea trout, with plenty of power in reserve to deliver a clean hook-set and handle a hard-fighting fish.
Fitted with FUJI SiC K-R guides, it ensures smooth line flow and excellent casting accuracy, while also contributing to the overall smoothness of the line. For discerning anglers looking for a high-performance, sensitive bank-fishing rod that can cast far with authority, the Pepper X5 S 2602 MH Silver Ops ticks all the essential boxes.
