The casting reel Daiwa Zillion SV TW 27 is designed for anglers who want to feel in complete control of their cast without sacrificing smoothness while fishing. Since 2005, the Zillion range has been built around a clear goal: to offer a high-performance reel designed to go unnoticed, while remaining exceptionally precise.
This version is built on two key technologies: HYPERDRIVE DESIGN and ULTIMATE CASTING DESIGN. The first reinforces the key features of a durable reel: the aluminium body and side plate, combined with gearing made from a specially developed alloy and improved support within the body, reduce mechanical play and operational friction. When retrieving, the reel feels reassuringly solid and consistent, even under increased strain.
ULTIMATE CASTING DESIGN focuses on four decisive aspects of casting. The factory-calibrated ZERO ADJUSTER friction brake makes the reel easy to use straight away and ensures the inductor is correctly positioned within the magnetic field. The redesigned TWS line guide, new spool and updated magnetic braking system provide better control as the line leaves the spool, for cleaner, more consistent casts. This is exactly what you need when every extra metre counts and comfort must remain a priority.
On the water, the reel’s balance has also been refined to improve the handling of the rod/reel set-up. The handle, positioned closer to the centre of the body, enhances the sense of alignment and stability, helping you maintain a smooth technique during longer sessions. The ATD drag system with audible ratchet offers precise, reassuring control when playing a fish, while the 8 bearings, including 4 CRBB bearings, help ensure controlled rotation. The G1 duralumin spool completes a well-balanced, robust set-up built for performance.
This casting reel Daiwa will feel at home when lure fishing where precision is paramount, especially when casts need to be clean, repeatable and comfortable. It is ideal for anglers looking for technical, stable and enjoyable-to-use tackle for active sessions, with consistently precise magnetic braking control and casting performance.
