The SLX DC XT casting reel is an integral part of the popular SLX series from Shimano. Fitted with the Intelligent Digital Control I-DC5 braking system and a low inertia MGL III spool, the SLX DC XT casting reel is a high-performance casting reel for all sizes of lure, including the lightest.

This casting-friendly reel is a technical masterpiece with outstanding versatility that rivals BFS (Bait Finesse System) reels. The SLX DC XT casting reel is equipped with an ultra-light spool that spins smoothly and easily to achieve good casting distances.

The exclusive I-DC5 system allows you to adjust the casting brake according to the type of line you're using and the weight of the lure. The DC system offers automatic casting control to minimise the risk of wigging.

Inside the HAGANE aluminium body (with ultra-light CI4+ side plates) is a combination of Micro Module Gear and X-SHIP. This construction gives the SLX DC XT the smoothness associated with Shimano Baitcasting reels. What's more, it's powerful enough to take on the biggest of freshwater predators.

The star-shaped drag is easy to adjust thanks to crossed carbon drag washers. The fighting brake allows extra pressure to be applied to the spool so you never lose control during the fight.
