Predatory buzzbait

Among the surface lures for catching predators, the buzzbait is a lure for catching predators. Very noisy, it produces strong vibrations on the water's surface thanks to a metallic propeller located on a triangular frame similar to that of a spinnerbait. Very popular in summer, it provokes the aggressiveness of pike, black bass and even catfish which will attack it with great violence.

The buzzbait, a reaction lure

The strong vibrations generated by the buzzbait can be perceived at long distances by predators. Its metal propeller comes into direct contact with water and is activated when you retrieve the lure. Thus, by spinning on the surface, it creates bubbles like a frog or a small animal swimming on the surface of the water.

The noise and light flashes caused by the propeller ignite the aggressiveness of predators under the surface who do not hesitate to attack it.

At the end of its structure, the buzzbait has, like its cousin the spinnerbait, a silicone skirt fitted with a hook. This skirt can be chosen in different colors to match your needs and various fishing spots. This skirt also allows it to be easily visually spotted by the predator.

The catfish, a predator sensitive to buzzbait

The catfish, this nearly blind fish is very sensitive to strong vibrations and noisy lures. The buzzbait is then an ideal lure for fishing this large predator thanks to its propeller and its silicone skirt.

It is then recommended to use it near obstacles where terrestrial prey, like rats or frogs, can fall into the water. When these prey fall into the water, they make a lot of noise on the surface and are spotted by predators like the catfish, the pike or the black bass. The buzzbait perfectly imitates this phenomenon which makes it a very good lure for stationed hunting predators.
