Here's a soft bait you're already familiar with, but now in a new version. The brand has Fish Arrow has decided to offer a heavier Flash J Split in response to demand from anglers on Lake Biwa in Japan.

To achieve this, the density of the lure has been modified. By adding 30% more salt to the plastic rubber, the soft bait became naturally denser. It now weighs 25g compared to 21g in the original model.

This will give you the longest casting distance and an easier descent into the water column, especially if you're fishing without a jig head or sinker. What's more, the action will be slightly modified to give a more pronounced action.
