Hooks as the main weapon

Often, lures intended for fishing for pike are quite large: from 10 to 30cm for the largest. Therefore, the hooks should be adapted to the size of these lures to make their armament effective. The lead heads are heavier, have sturdy iron hooks with a long shank and wide opening.

Thus, the hook comes out well from the lure and keeps its effectiveness. The same goes for Texan hooks which have a wider and rounder curve to allow the mounting of thick soft lures.

Hooks for mounting
