Description

The Z-Man ChatterShad™ is not simply a versatile shad adapted to chatterbait: it is a trailer designed exclusively for bladed-jigs. Each design choice — forage fish profile, segmented body, fan tail, diamond section — serves a single goal: to amplify the vibrations of the blade and trigger the attacks of pikes, bass and northern pikes.

Its segmented body deforms at the slightest solicitation and propagates the impulses of the blade to the tip of the tail. This tail, in ultra-thin fan shape, comes alive from the slowest recoveries to produce a trembling swimming that predators find hard to ignore. The V-shaped ridges of the caudal and the diamond section of the body increase the water displacement, projecting a vibratory signal perceptible from a long distance.

Available in 3.5" (≈ 8.9 cm) and 4.5" (≈ 11.4 cm), it can be used as a trailer for various chatterbaits. The 3.5" format matches perfectly with compact heads such as the MiniMax for finesse approaches to perch or sandre. The 4.5" accompanies standard size chatterbaits like the Elite EVO during pike directed sessions.

Made of ElaZtech 10X Tough, the signature material of Z-Man, the ChatterShad withstands ten times more tears than a conventional soft bait. Its natural buoyancy keeps the tail raised when at rest, prolonging the action of the lure during pauses and limiting snags at the bottom — two advantages that make a difference in crowded areas.

To go even further in these difficult areas, pre-cut dorsal and ventral slots allow for a Texas or weedless rigging in seconds. Dense grass beds, lily pad carpets, submerged wood: the ChatterShad penetrates where the biggest fish are found, without waste.
