Description

Directly inspired by nature, the Savage Gear Tough Toad is a soft surface lure that perfectly replicates the silhouette of a toad. Modeled by a 3D scan of a real amphibian, every detail — proportions, skin textures, posture — is rendered with striking realism, enough to trigger attack reflexes even in the most wary black-bass and pike.

The body of the Tough Toad is molded in TPE ToughTec (Duratech) 12x Tough, the formula designed to resist the teeth of predators without tearing or losing its shape. This material does not absorb water, which gives the lure constant flotation — even when stopped, during pauses. A major asset for fishing confidently in dense weed beds, lily fields and cluttered spots without risk of snagging.

The two curved paddles of the Tough Toad churn a significant volume of water with each movement, generating surface vibrations and characteristic swirls that mimic the movement of a toad in full crossing. The signal produced is powerful enough to attract fish from a distance and provoke those explosive surface hits that every bass angler eagerly awaits.

The Tough Toad is suitable for two complementary fishing configurations. Mounted on a non-weighted Texas hook, it evolves in weedless mode in the thickest areas without snagging the vegetation.
