With the Coike Fish M Elastomer, HideUp offers its flagship Coike range in a 17 mm ball size, a reference size that is easy to use in most fishing spots. This Japanese soft lure does not attempt to imitate a solitary fish, but rather an entire group of panicked prey around a central point: the bait ball effect that triggers the predatory instinct of predators.

Around a central textured ball, a multitude of fringes in the shape of small fish move and intersect with each movement of the lure. The result: an animation that resembles a school of fry huddled around a food point, as if they were vying for a common prey. This is exactly the kind of scene that incites a bass or marauding predator to attack without thinking, as it perceives a concentrated and vulnerable food source rather than a wary solo fish.

Each fringe is not a simple wick: it is molded to reproduce the silhouette of a fish, with clearly defined eyes and fins. The central ball receives a grainy (shibo) treatment that reproduces the skin texture of a real bait. For anglers who want to push realism even further, the lure accepts the addition of adhesive eyes (not included).

This "Elastomer" version of the Coike Fish M uses a material more resistant than the classic soft plastic, renowned for withstanding repeated attacks and bites without tearing. This is a strong argument for fishermen who catch multiple fishes at a productive spot without wanting to change lures between fish.

Its design makes it an ideal lure for finesse presentation: mounted on a light lead head to stay in the water layer where schools of fry evolve, then a slow animation, in shaking or swimming, to vibrate the entire fringes. This is particularly effective when predators are visibly stationed under a school of small fish (fry, whitebait) at the surface or in open water.
