Description

The Yamashita Egi Oh Live 3.0 is a squid jig designed to deliver a crisp, lively action with every pull of the rod, triggering a reaction from cephalopods. Its low centre of gravity improves casting performance and helps you reach greater distances, a real advantage when covering a wide area from the shore or working a spot from a boat.

The Blade Sinker shape of its tin weight provides remarkable stability both on the drop and during the retrieve. It produces a sharper, more precise and therefore more convincing erratic side-to-side darting action in the water. Its immediate response to the slightest movement lets you set the pace while keeping the presentation perfectly controlled. The average sink rate of around 3.5 seconds per metre makes its behaviour easy to read and simple to work, particularly when the fish are holding in the upper few metres.

Warm Jacket technology is a major feature of the EGI OH LIVE range. This coating is designed to reproduce and retain for longer than traditional coatings the slight temperature difference between the water and the body of prey warmed by exposure to light. It is complemented by two eyes with a phosphorescence wavelength of 490 nm, corresponding to the average light spectrum most perceptible to cephalopods. The result is a lure that stimulates both the hunting instinct and the ability to detect prey.

With its 3.0 size, this squid jig is particularly well suited to cuttlefish and squid fishing from the shore. It is also effective from a boat in shallow water or when cephalopods are moving through the upper few metres below the surface. It is a reliable choice for alternating powerful casts, controlled pauses and rod movements, while always maintaining a clear, attractive action.
