The Magnum Deraball is the result of an exclusive development carried out at the request of the Illex team. Thanks to the vision and insistence of Gaël Even and Thomas Vogels, the Japanese brand Jackall was convinced of the potential of a larger version of this iconic lure. Illex is thus proud to reveal this large format version of the Deraball, which displays +20% in size and volume while retaining all the features that made it famous.

This soft lure hybrid, situated between a crank and a shad, belongs to the soft swimbaits family. Its compact silhouette suggests a multitude of natural prey - amphibians, forage fish, small rodents - giving it exceptional versatility. Very dense, it is easily cast over long distances and skips under the trees with surprising ease.

A simple retrieve is enough to reveal its tight swim, a powerful stimulus to trigger the attacks of ambush predators: shallow areas, dense vegetation, hollow banks, drowned woods, seagrass, water lilies, rocks... Although designed to evolve in shallow water, it can also fish deeper when adding a free tungsten ball.

The Magnum Deraball incorporates the Line Thru system, or "cable car rigging", which allows the lure to climb up the line during the fight in order to reduce the risk of unhooking and preserve it from the teeth of the pike. Its weaponry has been specially designed: a triple reinforced hook, equipped with two lashed antennas for perfect attachment, and mounted on a rolling swivel allowing 360° rotation, minimizing losses during hooking as much as possible.

This XL version incorporates everything that makes the Deraball original strong, but bigger: wider silhouette, additional vibrations, enhanced water displacement, all elements designed to attract large predators such as pike, black bass, large perch or sheatfish. A fun, powerful lure decidedly tailored for trophy fish.
