Lure attractant

Soft lures packaged in pouches are often impregnated withlure attractant. This is a substance, usually odorous, that coats the lures to attract predators and encourage them to bite the lure. Some lures are not equipped with an attractant.

The attractant is therefore a lure accessory designed to increase their effectiveness. Aniseed, garlic, prawn, crab, squid... The tastes and scents are varied to appeal to every species.

Gel or spray attractants for lures

Attractants come in 2 forms: spray or gel. Spray attractants are practical and easy to use. Spray attractants can be applied occasionally to soft lures so that they can be reused without attractant or with a different attractant.

Gel attractants are the most persistent. They hold very well on soft lures and can also be used on swimming fish. Lures with attractants are kept in the mouth longer than traditional lures, making them easier to hook effectively. What's more, lures fitted with attractants whet the appetite of predators (particularly perch, black bass, pike-perch, cuttlefish, etc.).
