Description

Imagined by the famous Japanese fisherman Yui Aoki (his 4th creation for the brand), the DSTYLE Geelacanth 4" is a soft lure that pushes the boundaries of realism. Designed to perfectly mimic a fleeing "bluegill" (crappie or sunfish), or a flatfish, this formidable lure stimulates the predatory instinct of the biggest black bass and other freshwater predators.

Unlike traditional soft lures, the Geelacanth is made from an exclusive elastomer material (DURAVITY series). This floating and ultra-resistant material offers a swimming action of striking realism, with a flexibility and nervousness impossible to achieve with a classic plastic. To enhance its attractiveness, the material is infused with fine salt and attractant.

The body of the Geelacanth 4" is distinguished by a "V" ringed profile (and not straight). This technical design allows it to churn much more water on the sides, generating a powerful rolling effect. It is also equipped with the famous VIROLA Tail: pull it back sharply for a erratic action and powerful, or animate it slowly to get teasing micro-vibrations. The small antennas at the front twitch at the slightest touch.

The Geelacanth shines with its ability to adapt to almost all modern fishing techniques: Neko rig, Texas rig, Free rig, Carolina, or even as a Rubber Jig trailer.

Mount it in Weightless (without lead) with a Texan hook, and insert a small lead nail (Nail Sinker) just under the lure's jaw. This trick allows the Geelacanth to swim vertically, mimicking a fish feeding on the bottom.

⚠️ Caution: Always keep your elastomer lures in their original blister pack and never mix them with standard plastic lures to avoid melting them.
