Description

The third creation by the formidable Japanese competitor Yui Aoki for the DStyle brand, the Geelacanth 3" is the smaller brother of the 4.8" model. With its reduced profile, it becomes a true weapon of precision (finesse) to fool the wary or small prey-focused predators (small sunfish, bluegill or other flat forage fishes).

Just like its big brother, the Geelacanth 3" benefits from the exclusive material of the DURAVITY series. This elastomer material, extremely resistant to tearing, has natural buoyancy and amazing flexibility. It gives the soft lure a hyper lively action ("live feel") that a traditional plastic simply cannot reproduce. Its core is also impregnated with fine salt and attractant to optimize bites.

⚠️ Warning: The elastomer reacts with standard plastisol. Always keep your Geelacanths in their original packaging without mixing them with other soft baits.

This lure is not flat. Its main body adopts a subtly ribbed "V" profile, designed to bite the water more aggressively on the sides. This design generates a powerful rolling even at low speed.

The design goes even further in detail:

  • The tail (VIROLA Tail): Very versatile, it wiggles finely during slow animations and beats the water powerfully on drier pulls.
  • The legs: They react to the slightest water current to create nearly stationary micro-vibrations.

This 3-inch size is formidable on a variety of modern rigs:

  • Neko Rig, Drop Shot, Free Rig, Carolina Rig, or even mounted as a small Rubber Jig trailer.
  • Yui Aoki's tip: Mounted in Weightless (Texan without lead), you can insert a small lead nail under the jaw (nail sinker). The lure will then sink vertically with a sliding swim, imitating a fish looking for food on the bottom.
