A new addition to the braid range in 2021 Shimanothe Kairiki G5 offers an innovative design. Built around 4 identical strands and one different strand, you'll have in your hands a 5-strand braid with unique characteristics. The 5th strand, braid in the middle of the 4 others, has a profile that is both stronger and heavier.

The braid as a whole will therefore tend to descend more quickly into the water column. It will also be easier to cut through the wind, ensuring successful casts even when the weather isn't cooperating. You'll also eliminate some of the belly effect caused by the current.
