Fishing lamp

Whether you're a surfcasting enthusiast watching the rods in the dark, a carper settled in a camp or a predator tracker on the lookout at sunset, lighting is as much a matter of comfort as it is of safety. Just like a good pair of pliers or a weigher, a real fishing lamp is one of the fishing tools and accessories absolutely essential to extend your sessions in good conditions.

To fish effectively at night, you need both hands. This is where the headlamp comes into play. It follows the movement of your gaze, allowing you to re-tie a complex knot, bait a fragile hook or net a record fish with total precision. A good night fishing lamp must offer a modulable beam :

Broad beam (proximity): Perfect for lighting your hands and your workspace without dazzling you.
Concentrated beam (long distance): Ideal for spotting a marker on the opposite bank or sweeping the water surface during a fight.

The aquatic environment is harsh, so your lighting equipment must meet specific requirements :

Red Light: This is the fisherman's number one criterion. The red light preserves your night vision (your pupils do not retract), attracts far fewer mosquitoes and above all, does not scare wary fish posted on the edge.
Waterproofing: At a minimum standard IPX4 (resistance to splashing and heavy rain), your lamp must be able to face the sea spray or a sudden shower.
Battery Life: Prefer models with rechargeable (Li-ion) batteries via USB or hybrid systems (compatible with batteries and cells) to never find yourself in the dark in the middle of the night.
