The Super Trout Advance Katchi-iro is a nylon specifically developed by Varivas for trout fishing in rivers and mountain streams. Designed under the "Katchi-iro" concept - which literally means "the color of victory" - this nylon thread represents a major evolution for fishermen in pursuit of maximum discretion and technical performances on whitewater.

The reddish-brown tint "Katchi" is directly inspired by the fishing nets used for centuries by Japanese fishermen. This color, naturally hard to perceive for fish in their aquatic environment, blends in with the water's reflections and river beds. The result: even trouts larger than 30 cm, known for their wariness and difficulty to lure, do not detect the presence of the line. A decisive advantage for fishermen using casting lures in clear and frequented waters.

Katchi-iro is not just a dyed nylon. Its formula has been entirely rethought to meet the specific constraints of mountain rivers: fast currents, rocky obstacles, small reels. A moderate flexibility has been sought to preserve the natural action of small lures - rotating spoons, ultra-light swimbaits, finesse soft lures - and ensure excellent adaptation to small diameter spools commonly used in UL (ultra-light).

Thanks to the exclusive VA-G process, Varivas significantly improves the knot strength of this nylon. In practical terms, this makes it possible to achieve a smaller diameter while maintaining the same break strength. A thinner line means less water resistance, more accurate casts, and better discretion - three essential advantages on challenging spots.

Available in 4 strengths from 3 to 6 lb, this nylon is adaptable to all ultra-light techniques practiced in mountain rivers, from tenkara to finesse spinning to soft lure fishing.
