Description

With the Freeimo 65, the Japanese brand DStyle completely rethinks the classic concept of the "Imo" type bait (stubby, tube/potato-shaped lure, without appendices). This model is specially designed to easily glide through obstacles while offering a subtle swimming action and superior hooking success, a challenge often encountered with full-bodied lures.

The secret of this soft bait lies in its uniquely arranged ribs. Unlike traditional designs, the direction and spacing of the ribs differ between the front and rear of the lure. This asymmetry offers two major advantages:

Increased vibrations: The lure captures the water differently depending on the area of its body, producing a slight natural trembling ("purun purun") that is very attractive during the descent or animations.
Flexibility and Hooking: The deep ribs significantly soften the body. During a fish's attack, the lure collapses much more easily than a full plastic one, freeing the Texas hook and significantly increasing hook-up success ratio.

Thanks to a very comfortable weight of 7.7 grams for its small size of 65 mm (2.5 inches), the Freeimo casts wonderfully, even with light casting (Baitfinesse) or weightless (without additional weight). It's perfect for skipping under canopies or directly fishing in the heart of covers (weeds, deadwood).

Its streamlined shape makes it suitable for weedless setups:

Weightless (Texas rig without weight): For fishing the upper water layers or letting it slowly sink in a buzzing manner.
Texas Rig / Free Rig: For quickly penetrating dense vegetation cover.
