Description

The Westin Tommy The Trout Inline immediately makes its presence felt in the box, with a realistic design intended to provoke wary predators. This highly detailed soft lure accurately mimics a real trout, from its 3D scan to the high resolution prints made from actual images used in the scanning process. By the water, this level of finish changes everything: the fish sees a natural, credible, almost living signal.

Its S-shaped lifelike swimming action provides both a smooth and sprightly animation, effective even at low speeds. The slow sinking profile allows for slow to medium speed fishing in shallow waters, whether casting or trolling. With a steady retrieval, the lure glides authoritatively; with intermittent stops, it mimics an injured or panicked trout, an excellent trigger for reflex attacks.

The design was made with practicality in mind: lead-free, free of toxic phthalates, and with a hard foam core inside the head for stability and controlled behavior. The additional metal eyelet under the chin allows for the addition of a Switch Weight within seconds to reach the desired depth. The inline assembly system, the custom Westin release cap, and the articulated HD Stinger with ultra-sharp, durable carbon steel hooks enhance hooking efficiency and overall durability. The swivel chain reduces leverage to increase success during a fight.

With its extreme realism, the Tommy the Trout Inline is clearly geared towards fishing for trophy pike and muskellunge, especially when trying to trigger a following fish or convince a large predator stationed in a shallow area. It's the kind of lure you bring out when you want to present a believable, stable, easy-to-manage prey, without having to resort to speed.
