When the pike are wary, the Fox Rage Buck Pike comes into its own with its imposing profile and its ability to maintain just the right water depth. This Fox Rage lure combines a bucktail skirt with a realistic pike head made of hard material, to match natural movement with a highly visible silhouette. Upon retrieval, the bucktail fibers undulate and unfold, while the soft bait (to be added) swims to create a truly attractive two-part action. This combination generates powerful water displacement and vibrations noticeable even at low retrieval speeds, making it an excellent choice when fish are active but not moving distinctly.
Its slow descent, made possible by the buoyancy of the bucktail fibers and the foam body, allows the lure to stay in the strike zone and evolve just below the surface. This is exactly the kind of presentation that makes a difference for apathetic predators, stuck under the nose of a setup that is too fast or too discreet. The Buck Pike remains attractive even during pauses, with the skirt continuing to work to prolong the visual and vibratory signal. Thanks to its design ready to accommodate a trailer, with a screw, you can associate it with your favorite soft bait like the Slick Eel or the Super Slick Shad to further increase the volume and attractiveness.
The high-quality treble hooks and the ability to adapt other hooks depending on the size of the trailer enhance the versatility of the rig, to stay clean and effective on the attack. In the bank, on the edge, or above an area where pikes hunt without exposing themselves, it proves its worth when the water is turbid or in low light. The Natural Pike, Firetiger, Burbot, and Red Wake colors allow for the adjustment of the presentation to conditions, while the Small and Large sizes offer a precise response depending on the size of the target fish and the extent of the silhouette sought.
