The Fox Rage Buck Frog is designed to turn a session around when fish are watching undecidedly. Its bucktail construction combines natural fibers from deer tails with a realistic frog head made of hard material, offering a natural profile and a strong presence in water. During retrieval, the animated and attractive skirt unfolds smoothly and continues to work even during pauses. This lively action, combined with the broad, flat frog head, creates a significant water displacement and strong vibrations, even at low speeds.
This lure takes place right in front of the fish and imposes a visual and hydrodynamic signature that is hard to ignore. The Buck Frog is also designed for customization. It takes advantage of a screw to add your favorite soft lure, such as the Slick Eel or the Super Slick Shad, to create an even bigger presentation. The trailer enhances the silhouette while easily retracting on the attack, a real plus to maximize optimal hooksets. Its density allows it to evolve just below the surface or to sink slowly by adding weight, adapting to wary fish and deeper conditions alike.
In low light or murky waters, its detection power really makes sense. The combination of the floating bucktail, the high-water displacement head, and the imposing profile helps to trigger explosive attacks when pike stick to their spot or appear apathetic. The available sizes, Small and Large, allow adjusting the presentation based on the situation, while the Natural Pike, Firetiger, Burbot and Red Wake colors cover several animation and visibility approaches. Those compatible with additional weights like the Strike Point Chin Weights add even more precision to evolve the lure just below the surface. It is a particularly relevant choice when you are looking for a slow, stable, and visible swim, with a real ability to provoke a reaction.
