The Lipless Crankbait is part of the large family of hard baits. It is a hard bait sinking that allows to prospect different water layers. The Lipless Crankbait often has a pointed nose and hooks from the top. This is the characteristic that most differentiates it from other swimmers.
In addition, some models like the DK from offer 2 hooking ringlets to make it swim at different depths with the same retrieval speed. Thus, it has a particular swimming motion that brilliantly attracts all predators.
Often equipped with balls, it is a rather noisy lure that emits powerful vibrations. It looks a lot like the vibrating blade but emits a deeper sound and dives slower.
This hard lure, particularly effective, can be animated in different ways depending on the spots you fish. If these have a depth of around 3m, the lipless crankbait is a very interesting lure for prospecting. By performing pulls, it allows to locate the water layer where the fish are most active.
Touches often occur on the descent so stay vigilant! When a lipless crankbait is in the water, it is always fishing.
If you don't have the chance to fish in such deep environments, it is very effective in linear. By doing small pauses, or wobbling on the bottom, it resembles a crawfish. Furthermore, some brands take full advantage of this characteristic by offering a color that best mimics the crawfish.
