The Dead Slowler soft bait is a shad from the brand Illex described as a soft swimbait. This shad is multi-segmented and has multiple disc-shaped appendages pointing forward. These discs act as brakes and stabilisers when the Dead Slowler swims.

The corrugations on this soft bait also allow it to move much more water than a conventional shad. Its discs emit micro vibrations that arouse the curiosity and appetite of predators. Pike, pike-perch, perch and black bass will not hesitate to take it in their mouths.

Unlike many soft lures, the Dead Slower from Illex is equipped with a thick caudal fin coupled with a choke in the last third of the lure for a rhythmic and powerful vibration even at low retrieve speeds. This soft bait is dense and very easy to cast far and accurately.

The Dead Slowler is a versatile soft bait that can be used on a weightless texas rig to fish well marked spots or on a jig head, texas rig or jig trailer. It is also a formidable linear lure for fishing between two waters or on the bottom.
